Review highlights
Based on 162 reviewsRestaurant Bayleaf Kitchen USJ is well-regarded for its authentic modern Indian cuisine, particularly its flavorful banana leaf rice, briyani, and freshly prepared rotis and dosas. Patrons appreciate the spacious, clean, and air-conditioned environment, making it suitable for both casual dining and larger groups. The service is generally efficient, especially during off-peak hours, and the pricing is considered reasonable. Highlights include generous portions and complimentary papadam refills, which diners find appealing. While some beverages, such as masala tea and coffee, receive mixed feedback, the overall food quality and ambiance consistently earn positive remarks. Parking remains a challenge during busy periods, which is a common point of feedback among visitors.
First time trying this place as we never paid much noticed to this restaurant across the years. Good atmosphere as it was quiet (it was pass peak hour). We all had banana leaf for lunch, the side dishes were tasty, especially the fried bitter gourd. The papadam was huge and crispy l, as a papadam lover, the unlimited refills were great. Overall, great experience.
Came here for a quick breakfast. The food is pretty good and tasty. Tosai and roti were excellent. Capati was so-so. Service was pretty fast as we were the 1st few customers. Prices are reasonable and mid range. Parking in Taipan is very challenging during peak hours.
My family was recently recommended to give this place a try and so we did! Environment is pretty nice and service was pretty good! But sadly their Masala Tea and Bru Coffee was a letdown as compared to their branch in Klang. But their Briyani Rice is a must try, my family’s favourite in this shop. Their Banana Leaf rice is not bad either with free refill for their dishes and papadam. Their papadam is huge! Would I recommend people to this place? Sure thing. But not the best place to have tea or coffee and chit chat. Is light enough to the point you can fell asleep after drinking a cup. Hope they improve their drinks the next time I visit with stronger coffee and stronger masala taste.
I'm pleasantly surprised that they serve some delicious banana leaf rice (BLR), along with rotis and dosa. Breakfast options like vade are available from 830am onwards, and later in the day, rice, briyani and noodles. Interior is quite clean and air-conditioned, able to cater to large groups. Their curries, butter chicken and naans are served fresh from the pot/ tandoor and tasty. Always felt satisfied after dining there. Prices are reasonable; rice dishes average RM20 per pax. Cows milk (pasumpal), bru coffee are superb.
Sema... Every thing is nice food to serving till the shop ambiance dear owner bravo to u . My best wishes may u serve the same way no matter which mile stone you reach yea portion also good . Shop is clean very pleasant and music is good too... You made our day ..
I ordered a tea, thosai and a vadai. Unfortunately for me, the varuval was not ready yet. Food seemed OK with the exception of the vadai, which was cold and hard and was unfinished. Service was decent, although the food took a tad long arriving. I am happy that the vadai was immediately taken off my bill when I mentioned it. They listen to customers. Planning to return for the Briyani.
